WASTEWATER MANAGEMENT

Sewage Treatment Plant (STP)

Transforming domestic and commercial wastewater into safe, reusable resources through cutting-edge biological and physical treatment technologies.

Why Treat Sewage?

Protecting the Environment, Ensuring Compliance.

A Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) is an essential facility designed to receive and treat domestic and commercial wastewater. The primary goal is to remove harmful contaminants, organic matter, and pathogens before the water is safely discharged back into the environment or reused for secondary purposes like irrigation and flushing.

At Water Chem Technics, we specialize in designing custom STP solutions tailored to the specific flow rates and contamination levels of your facility, ensuring 100% compliance with strict KSPCB and environmental regulations.

Our STP Technologies

MBBR Technology

Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) uses thousands of polyethylene biofilm carriers operating in mixed motion within an aerated wastewater treatment basin. Highly compact and robust against load variations.

SBR Technology

Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR) processes wastewater in batches. Aeration and settling occur in the same tank, eliminating the need for a separate clarifier. Ideal for varying flow rates.

MBR Technology

Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) combines conventional biological treatment with membrane filtration. Produces ultra-pure, exceptionally high-quality effluent suitable for immediate reuse.

Step-by-Step

The Treatment Process

1. Primary Treatment

Raw sewage passes through bar screens to remove large debris (plastics, rags) and a grit chamber to settle heavy inorganic solids.

2. Biological Aeration

Air is pumped into the aeration tank, encouraging beneficial microorganisms to consume and break down organic pollutants in the sewage.

3. Clarification

The treated mixture flows into a clarifier where the biological sludge settles to the bottom, separating from the clear, treated water above.

4. Disinfection & Filtration

The clear water undergoes tertiary filtration (sand/carbon) and disinfection (Chlorine/UV) to destroy remaining pathogens before discharge.

Ideal Applications for our STPs

  • Residential Apartments & Townships Compact, odor-free systems for high-density living areas.
  • Hotels, Hospitals & Commercial Malls High-capacity systems ensuring regulatory compliance and green certifications.
  • Industrial IT Parks & Manufacturing Robust treatment modules handling varying shifts and loads seamlessly.

Ultra Filtration System in Sewage Treatment Plant

Crystal-Clear, Reusable Treated Water

Ultra Filtration (UF) in STP

Advanced Polishing for Cleaner, Safer Reuse Water.

Ultra Filtration (UF) is a membrane-based tertiary treatment stage used in a Sewage Treatment Plant to polish the treated water. Using hollow-fibre membranes with extremely fine pores (typically 0.01 to 0.1 micron), it physically removes suspended solids, turbidity, bacteria, and other microscopic particles that conventional treatment can leave behind.

At Water Chem Technics, we integrate UF systems into STPs to deliver consistently high-quality water for flushing, gardening, cooling towers, and other reuse applications, helping you meet KSPCB and environmental norms with confidence.

  • Superior Water Quality: Removes turbidity, suspended solids, and microorganisms for clear, odour-free water.
  • Consistent Output: Water quality stays stable even when the incoming load fluctuates.
  • Compact & Low Chemical Use: Small footprint with minimal chemical dosing compared to conventional filtration.
  • Automated Operation: Automatic backwash and cleaning cycles for easy, low-maintenance running.
  • RO-Ready Feed: An ideal pre-treatment step if you need to take water further with Reverse Osmosis.
STP with FRP Tanks

Durable, Corrosion-Proof Tanks Built for Sewage Treatment.

Fibre Reinforced Plastic (FRP) tanks are a modern alternative to conventional concrete tanks in a Sewage Treatment Plant. Made from glass fibre and high-grade resin, they are lightweight, factory-fabricated, and highly resistant to the corrosive gases and chemicals found in sewage, giving you a long-lasting treatment system with minimal civil work.

At Water Chem Technics, we design and supply FRP-based STPs in capacities matched to your site's flow rate and space, ensuring reliable performance and compliance with KSPCB and environmental regulations.

  • Corrosion & Chemical Resistant: Unaffected by sewage gases, moisture, and chemicals, so no rusting or concrete degradation.
  • Quick Installation: Prefabricated units reduce civil construction time and site disruption.
  • Leak-Proof & Seamless: Monolithic construction prevents leakage and groundwater contamination.
  • Lightweight & Portable: Easy to transport, relocate, or expand as your capacity needs grow.
  • Low Maintenance: Long service life with minimal upkeep and no need for repainting or lining.
